PENN HIP: Distraction Index ( DI ) or laxity.

Hazy: Left DI = 0.46, Right DI = 0.32.

Romeo: Left DI = 0.35, Right DI = 0.32

The average for the Akita breed is 0.56. No radiographic evidence of OA (Osteoarthritis) in either hip for Romeo and Hazy.

OFA EYE EXAM : Romeo and Hazy are both free of any significant inherited eye diseases and have been issued certificates.

FULL THYROID PANEL : Romeo and Hazy both have normal thyroid results. Negative for hypothyroidism or thyroiditis.

EMBARK DNA : Romeo and Hazy are not at risk for the 256 genetic health conditions that Embark tests for.

Sire: Registered name: Ruthdale’s Go Big or Go Home ( Romy ) comes from the world renowned champion line Ruthdale Akitas of Great Britain. He is a sweet and affectionate boy of 115 lbs. While very protective of his family, he is also quite mellow. In fact, he hardly ever barks, unless he really needs to. He’s very smart, intuitive, and eager to train. Romy is a proud majestic boy. He loves his daily walks, wrestling and running with Hazy, and chilling on the back porch. He’s a loveable gentle boy that just wants to be around his people.

Dam: Registered name: Shokuma’s Designed to Be Divine ( Hazy ) comes from Australia’s champion line Shokuma Akitas. She is a sweet and spicy girl of 80 lbs. She is very intelligent and inquisitive. She is always game to play and wrestle, but also really enjoys her “chill times”. She loves everybody - people and dogs. Hazy will greet you with a happy smile and wiggle butt! Although playful and friendly, she is also confident and knows how to handle herself with other dogs. She certainly holds her own with Romeo.
